Bangkok – 22 May 2023 – SAIC Motor-CP and MG Sales (Thailand), manufacturer and distributor of MG cars in Thailand, celebrates the company’s successful EV delivery milestone with 10,000 units being delivered to Thai customers. As part of the celebration and to express sincere gratitude towards MG customers, the company also offers special promotions and activities exclusively for EV owners.

MG officially created an EV landscape in Thailand in 2019 with the launch of the NEW MG ZS EV, a 100% electric SUV created and designed under the EASY concept. A turning point in Thailand’s automotive industry, the model has changed people’s perspectives towards electric vehicles and enabled the use of EV to become “easy”. Coupled with confidence in the potential, opportunity and possibility in the country’s EV market, MG continues to introduce new EV models to the Thai market as alternatives that respond to various consumer lifestyles. Later, MG in 2022 announced the launch of the NEW MG EP, Thailand’s first 100% electric station wagon, and the NEW MG4 ELECTRIC, a 100% rear wheel-drive electric hatchback. And this year, the company released 2 new models: the NEW MG ES, a 100% electric station wagon that offers comfortable and superior driving experience, and the NEW MG MAXUS 9, Thailand’s first 100% electric luxury 7-seat MPV. During the past 5 years, MG has delivered a total of 10,000 EV units, making the company a significant driving force and stepping stone towards an EV ecosystem in Thailand.

The promotion is valid on an advance booking basis at all MG service centers nationwide from now to 30 June, 2023.”

Additionally, MG also hosts a special “Carbon Free Road Trip” which will take place from 17 – 18 June exclusively for owners of all MG EV models where they can wander around Ayutthaya province in their electric vehicles. Eligible participants must be owners of any MG EV model who shall submit a photo of themselves with their MG electric vehicle and a description of their impressions towards their car via www.facebook.com/MGcarsThailand. Application ends 30 May, 2023 and a list of 30 winners will be announced on 1 June.
