Bangkok – 16th August 2023 – SAIC Motor-CP Co., Ltd., and MG Sales (Thailand) Co., Ltd.—authorized manufacturer and distributor of MG cars in Thailand—are determined to enhance every area in aftersales especially parts management with the use of technology. The goal of “Just in Time in Delivery and Service” ensures parts will be distributed to authorized service centers nationwide to meet maintenance requests within three business days* as well as a quick delivery option for urgent cases. The use of TRACK & TRACE means each shipment of parts can be traced in real time, ensuring precision in service scheduling and maintenance workflow. Furthermore, MG is strengthening its aftersales capabilities for every model marketed in Thailand with a second parts distribution center at Banga-Trat with an expanded parts warehouse space to store one million parts in 20,000 categories.
MG would like to further demonstrate its care for customers with the use of technology to streamline its entire parts management process—from storage to parts delivery to authorized service centers across the nation in a shortest timeframe possible. Now, MG is using a new system called TRACK & TRACE which is one of key technologies under Warehouse Management System (WMS)used by renowned global logistics companies. In details, authorized service centers of MG can track, inspect, and calculate delivery time of parts shipped from warehouses. With this real-time, end-to-end tracking system, authorized service centers can precisely make maintenance appointment for each customer. In summary, waiting time for maintenance will be shortened as parts can be shipped to authorized service centers within three business days* under normal circumstances while urgent parts shipment requests can be fulfilled within 24 hours.
Mr. Pongsak Lertruedeewattanavong, Vice President of MG Sales (Thailand) Co., Ltd., said, “The COVID-19 pandemic had caused parts shortage in the past few years. Thus, expansion of MG’s Parts Distribution Center has now become a viable option. In addition to our 10,000 sqm warehouse in Chonburi, our second parts distribution center—with total space of 15,000 sqm—is located in the neighborhood of Bangna-Trat. In total, we now have 25,000 sqm to store our parts in Thailand. A new parts distribution center can significantly increase our capability in parts management and shorten waiting time for customers. The use of TRACK & TRACE will also be a helpful tool letting our authorized service centers track each shipment, plan maintenance schedule for each vehicle being service, and shorten estimated maintenance time so customers can get their cars back in a shorter timeframe. In short, our initiatives to uplift aftersales share the exact same goal in highest level of customer satisfaction.”
*Remark: The abovementioned delivery time is not applicable for every delivery to three southern border provinces
