NEW MG5’s premium, dynamic and trendy appearance is unique and surprising with coupe design. The stunning V-shape on engine bonnet, projector headlights, Daytime Running Lights (DRL) and unique design rear lights with gorgeous look. Together with an electric sunroof, the NEW MG5 becomes an outstanding subcompact car that offers the highest value in the market.

On the interior, NEW MG5 passenger cabin is the most spacious among its peers, providing driver and passengers with greater comfort. The storage under front passenger seat allows NEW MG5 owner and passengers to keep their belongings in a secured place for convenience and safety. The NEW MG5 comes equipped with two choices of gasoline engines, a powerful TURBO 1.5-litre engine that is capable of pumping out 129 PS at 5,500 rpm. Maximum torque is 210 Nm at 2,000-4,000 rpm. An alternative 1.5-litre gasoline engine also offers fun ride with maximum power of 106 PS at 6,000 rpm and the top torque of 135 Nm at 4,500 rpm. NEW MG5 can run on Gasohol E85.

NEW MG5 is available with 6-speed AT in TURBO 1.5 litre and 4-speed AT in 1.5 litre. Both transmissions can be turned to Sport and Manual with quick responsive shift and smooth operations. At the same time, it offers impressive road handling thanks to European Tuning Suspension with front Ultra-Rigid MacPherson Strut and rear H-type Torsion Beam and U-shape beam, giving the subcompact car impressive road holding capability. The 4-Wheel Disc Brake with Low Dragging Calipers (LDC) makes it even more responsive.

NEW MG5 also comes with nine Integrated Active Safety Systems which included Hill Start Assist System (HAS), Traction Control System (TCS), ABS - Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), Motor control Slide Retainer (MSR), Curve Brake Control (CBC), Indirect Tire Pressure Monitor System (ITPMS), Electronic Brake Assist (EBA) and Stability Control System (SCS).

NEW MG5 is equipped with “inkaNet”, an intelligent telematics communication system which includes seven key functions -- Vehicle Alarm, Navigation through Google Map, Electronic Fence, Fuel Consumption, i-Call and Travel Plan. Special for NEW MG5 customers, free airtime charge is available for five years for inkaNet system connection.
