With the iconic concept known as ‘Follow No Others’, MG is organizing a test drive for its new sport SUV MG GS 1.5 litre Turbo engine 167 HP, inviting media to immerse themselves in a complete driving experience fuelled with performance, comprehensive functions, comfort features, the spacious interior, and fuel efficiency contests. This first MG test drive of 2017 will be a testimony to the true cost effectiveness of this one of a kind sport SUV.

MG Sales (Thailand) Co., Ltd., the distributor of MG, the world-renowned British car brand, is arranging a test drive of the latest addition to the brand’s fleet, the NEW MG GS 1.5 litre Turbo engine. The test drive will consist of 2 routes for the media: Bangkok – Chaiyaphum – Udon Thani, and Udon Thani – Chaiyaphum – Bangkok. Each group of the media will get to drive over 600 kilometres of diverse driving conditions - from congested roads to test agility of this urban sport SUV, to rural areas where they can pick up speed and experience the firm chassis while going through the sharper turns of secondary roads. This test drive will fully reaffirm the versatility of the NEW MG GS 1.5 litre Turbo engine, no matter where or how it’s driven, and utilized.

Besides the fun and memorable atmosphere the event will offer, the highlight of the trip is undoubtedly driving the 1.5-litre Turbo TGI-TECH Engine with the Direct Injection System, providing a solid 167 HP at 5,600 RPM, and maximum torque of 250 NM at 1,700-4,400 RPM. The vehicle is further boosted by a 7-SPEED Twin Clutch Sportronic Transmission (TST), which is engineered to higher response capabilities for immediate acceleration – altogether offering an exceptional performance while simultaneously being fuel efficient.

The convenience and safety of the trip is also assured with inkaNet, a real-time technology that allows MG drivers and their vehicles to communicate, supported by Integrated SYNCHRONIZE PROTECTION SYSTEM 13 functions, comprised with a Traction Control System (TCS), Curve Brake Control (CBC), Stability Control System (SCS), and Motor Control Slide Retainer (MSR).

The NEW MG MG 1.5 TURBO engine is available for two trims, 1.5 D starts at THB 890,000 and 1.5 X starts at THB 990,000.
