MG Sales Thailand is offering the opportunity to test drive for the NEW MG GS, MG’s new Sport SUV that is receiving an overwhelming interest since its debut at the 37th Bangkok Motor Show 2016. This is the chance to experience an outstanding driving experience powered by its 2.0-litre turbo engine which delivers 218PS with the maximum torque of 350 Ns, supported by equipment that provides total convenience throughout this journey of over 600 kilometers.

The NEW MG GS has been developed under the Brit Dynamic concept, as with every MG car model, with outstanding design, performance, handling, and safety – all rising above standards found in other vehicles in the same segment. Since its debut at the 37th Bangkok Motor Show 2016, the NEW MG GS has been one of the cars that has received the most praise and requests for a test drive by customers. 

The test drive route runs from Bangkok-Kuiburi, Prachuab Khiri Khun province, understaking over 600 kilometers, to test the superior performance of the NEW MG GS’s 2.0-litre turbo engine that is capable of pumping out 218 PS at 5,300 rpm. Maximum torque is 350 Nm at 2,500-4,000 rpm and it accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 8.2 seconds. An all-wheel driving (AWD) system, boosted by a 6-speed Twin Clutch Sportronic Transmission (TST), makes it easy to change gears for quick maneuvering.

The NEW MG GS offers impressive road handling from straight to winding roads, testing the front MacPherson Strut and Stabilizer and the rear with its Multi-Link and Stabilizer, thus showing the NEW MG GS at its full capacity. It also comes with a high performance safety system with Stability Control System (SCS), Traction Control System (TCS) and Curve Brake Control (CBC).

The  NEW MG GS incorporates an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), Auto Vehicle Hold (AVH), Intelligent Brake Disc Cleaning (BDC), Optimized Hydraulic Brake Servo (OHBV), Optimized Motor Control Slide Retainer (MSR), Electronic Brake Assist (EBA), along with the Hill-Start Assist System (HAS), Tire Pressure Monitor System (TPMS), Electronic Parking Brake (EPB, Full Space Frame (FSF), and airbags which protect the driver from both the front and the sides. Drivers can feel fully confident with the 13 Synchronized Protection Systems.

The NEW MG GS’s Interior Design has been developed to offer full comfort, providing greater convenience for all passengers, equipped with a multi-function steering wheel, cruise control systems, immobilizer key, push start feature, automatic air conditioning systems, an automatically light-adjusting rear-view mirror and inkaNet, an intelligent telematics communication system which includes twelve key functions – Smart Call, Smart SMS, Wi-Fi Hotspot to an 8-inch touchscreen, and a responsive audio and entertainment system with 8 high-quality speakers, accommodating multimedia and connectivity through Bluetooth, USB, and AUX outlets.
